The Bull-It Men's Guardian is the most advanced riding jean Bull-It has produced. Built from Covec® AAA Oneskin lightweight denim and certified to CE EN 17092-2:2020 – AAA rated, it sits at the very top of the European protection standard for motorcycle clothing. There is no higher rating for a riding jean.
Available in jet black in Straight and Slim fits, with Short, Regular, and Long leg lengths across sizes UK 8–20, the Guardian makes AAA-rated protection accessible to a broader range of riders than any previous Bull-It jean. This listing is for the Straight fit, Regular leg length.
Covec® AAA Oneskin Denim
The Guardian uses the latest generation of Covec® Oneskin denim – Bull-It's proprietary construction that integrates the abrasion-resistant protective layer directly into the denim shell rather than bonding a separate liner behind it. The AAA-rated version of Oneskin is engineered to withstand the highest impact and abrasion forces in the EN 17092 standard, while remaining lightweight and breathable enough to wear comfortably across a full day's riding.
The jet black finish is clean and unfussy – no visible branding beyond the embroidered Bull-It bull head logo and twin matt black shank and rivets that suit the all-black aesthetic. It looks like a well-made pair of black jeans. The protection is the part you don't see.
RE ZRO® Level 2 Hip & Knee Armour
The Guardian comes fitted with RE ZRO® Level 2 hip and knee armour – a step up from the Level 1 inserts found in the Ajax and the majority of the riding jean market. RE ZRO Level 2 armour meets the higher impact attenuation requirement of the EN 17092 standard, is breathable, and is made from biodegradable materials. Combined with the AAA-rated Oneskin shell, the Guardian delivers the most complete protection package available in a riding jean format.
AAA Rating – What It Means
CE EN 17092 defines three protection levels for motorcycle trousers: A, AA, and AAA. The Guardian is certified to AAA – the highest level, tested to withstand the most demanding abrasion and impact scenarios in the standard. For riders covering motorway miles, riding at higher speeds, or simply unwilling to compromise on protection, AAA is the benchmark to meet.
Rider-Ready Details
High-vis reflective tape adds passive visibility in low-light conditions without affecting the daytime appearance. A YKK zipper and twin matt black shank and rivets keep the hardware quality consistent with the construction throughout.

Product availability is shown on all products. Where a product states 'Coming Soon - Dispatched in X Days', this is the expected lead time before stock is delivered to our store. The delivery method you choose will not affect this lead time and only relates to the delivery service we use once the product has been delivered to us.

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. Maidstone Harley-Davidson recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer. Refunds of any returned order will be of the items only, not the services incurred.
Maidstone Harley-Davidson uses Royal Mail for smaller items and DHL for larger items (UK Shipping only)
Royal Mail deliveries are sent using the most appropriate service based on the value, size and weight of the parcel. If your item has not arrived within 5 working days on either service then please contact us by email shop@mshd.co.uk.
We also offer timed delivery services for faster delivery, which incur an additional charge over our standard delivery charges (£3.95 for orders below £60, free for orders over £60). All available delivery options are displayed during checkout.
Collect in-store:
Orders for in-store collection are FREE to collect, and are usually ready the same day, however there may occasionally be delays. A notification will be sent to you when your order is ready.
Please collect your items between 10am-5pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. NOTE: Our store is currently closed on Wednesdays & Sundays. Orders placed on these days will be available for collection on the following working day.
Returns & refunds:
Your right to cancel and return begins from when you place the order and ends 14 working days from when you received the goods. If you wish to cancel or return your order you must inform us by email at shop@mshd.co.uk within this time frame. The buyer is responsible for paying the return postage and ensuring the goods are received back by us in as new condition. If you receive a faulty or broken item, you will be offered either a choice of a refund or replacement. Any return postage costs if an item is faulty or broken will be paid by harleydavidsondirect.co.uk
