The Roland Sands Design Pismo Jacket in Black is a riding shirt jacket built for the road rather than the wardrobe. Waxed cotton outer gives it the classic, lived-in aesthetic of traditional British motorcycling outerwear – a material that develops character with every ride and improves with age rather than wearing out. Certified to CE EN 17092:2020 – AA rated, it carries serious protection credentials in a silhouette that looks like a shirt.
Waxed Cotton & Cordura Construction
The waxed cotton shell provides natural water resistance and wind protection that suits the riding shirt format – enough to handle a light shower or a cold morning without the bulk of a waterproof membrane jacket. The wax finish can be re-proofed over time, extending the life of the garment indefinitely.
The sleeves are lined with Cordura 6000 – one of the most abrasion-resistant textile materials available in riding gear. Cordura 6000 is a high-tenacity nylon fabric rated to withstand significantly higher abrasion forces than standard textile linings, providing the critical protection at the point of highest impact risk in a slide without adding weight or stiffness to the overall jacket.
CE Level 1 Armour & Snap Collar
CE Level 1 armour is fitted at the impact zones, and a back protector pocket is included for a back protector insert (sold separately). The snap-down collar stays flat under a helmet rather than folding up at speed – the same practical detail found across the RSD range and the H-D Dickies x H-D Eisenhower Jacket, and the detail that separates a riding shirt from a fashion shirt.

Product availability is shown on all products. Where a product states 'Coming Soon - Dispatched in X Days', this is the expected lead time before stock is delivered to our store. The delivery method you choose will not affect this lead time and only relates to the delivery service we use once the product has been delivered to us.

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. Maidstone Harley-Davidson recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer. Refunds of any returned order will be of the items only, not the services incurred.
Maidstone Harley-Davidson uses Royal Mail for smaller items and DHL for larger items (UK Shipping only)
Royal Mail deliveries are sent using the most appropriate service based on the value, size and weight of the parcel. If your item has not arrived within 5 working days on either service then please contact us by email shop@mshd.co.uk.
We also offer timed delivery services for faster delivery, which incur an additional charge over our standard delivery charges (£3.95 for orders below £60, free for orders over £60). All available delivery options are displayed during checkout.
Collect in-store:
Orders for in-store collection are FREE to collect, and are usually ready the same day, however there may occasionally be delays. A notification will be sent to you when your order is ready.
Please collect your items between 10am-5pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. NOTE: Our store is currently closed on Wednesdays & Sundays. Orders placed on these days will be available for collection on the following working day.
Returns & refunds:
Your right to cancel and return begins from when you place the order and ends 14 working days from when you received the goods. If you wish to cancel or return your order you must inform us by email at shop@mshd.co.uk within this time frame. The buyer is responsible for paying the return postage and ensuring the goods are received back by us in as new condition. If you receive a faulty or broken item, you will be offered either a choice of a refund or replacement. Any return postage costs if an item is faulty or broken will be paid by harleydavidsondirect.co.uk
