Classic motorcycle styling meets practical riding protection in the Harley-Davidson® Men's Operative 2.0 Riding Shirt Jacket. Designed with a heavyweight cotton-polyester twill plaid outer, this men's motorcycle shirt jacket delivers the familiar look of a casual overshirt with the technical features needed for riding.
The 60% cotton, 40% polyester heavyweight twill yard-dyed plaid construction gives the jacket a substantial feel, while the partial polyester mesh lining and underarm eyelet vents help encourage airflow when you're in the saddle. Pre-curved sleeves provide a more natural riding position, while the two-way front zipper, snap front placket and snap cuffs give you flexible fastening options.
Protection is built into the design. The jacket includes EN 1621-1 certified D3O® Ghost™ armour at the shoulders and elbows, providing impact protection without losing the comfortable shirt-jacket profile. A dedicated back armour pocket is also compatible with EN 1621-2 certified D3O® Viper Air back body armour, available separately. The H-D® CE Certified PPE construction is tested to meet abrasion, tear and seam strength requirements and is certified to EN 17092-4:2020.
Visibility is another important riding feature, with 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material at the back collar helping the jacket stand out in low-light conditions. The hidden snap-down collar keeps the collar securely in place while riding, and the shirttail hem maintains the relaxed shirt-jacket silhouette.
Practical storage includes snap chest pockets, welt hand-warmer pockets with hidden snap closures and an interior zipper pocket, giving you plenty of options for carrying everyday essentials.
The earth-tone plaid exterior keeps the front clean and understated, finished with a branded woven flag label. On the back, direct embroidery recreates a circa-1910 Harley-Davidson® Bar & Shield, connecting this modern riding shirt jacket with the brand's early design heritage.

The delivery method you choose will not affect this lead time and only relates to the delivery service we use once the product has been delivered to us.
Custom Charges
If you are ordering goods for delivery outside the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. It is accepted by you that Maidstone Harley-Davidson has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Maidstone Harley-Davidson recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer. Refunds of any returned order will be of the items only, not the services incurred.
Maidstone Harley-Davidson uses Royal Mail for smaller items and DHL for larger items (UK Shipping only)
Royal Mail deliveries are sent using the most appropriate service based on the value, size and weight of the parcel. If your item has not arrived within 5 working days on either service then please contact us by email shop@mshd.co.uk.
We also offer timed delivery services for faster delivery, which incur an additional charge over our standard delivery charges (£3.95 for orders below £60, free for orders over £60). All available delivery options are displayed during checkout.
Collect in-store:
Orders for in-store collection are FREE to collect, and are usually ready the same day, however there may occasionally be delays. A notification will be sent to you when your order is ready.
Please collect your items between 10am-5pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. NOTE: Our store is currently closed on Wednesdays & Sundays. Orders placed on these days will be available for collection on the following working day.
Returns & refunds:
Your right to cancel and return begins from when you place the order and ends 14 working days from when you received the goods. If you wish to cancel or return your order you must inform us by email at shop@mshd.co.uk within this time frame. The buyer is responsible for paying the return postage and ensuring the goods are received back by us in as new condition. If you receive a faulty or broken item, you will be offered either a choice of a refund or replacement. Any return postage costs if an item is faulty or broken will be paid by harleydavidsondirect.co.uk
