The eagle and Stars & Stripes - why it works on a bandana: The bandana has been part of motorcycle culture since the earliest days of American riding - it's one of the few accessories that's genuinely functional on the road (dust, wind, sun protection) and has accumulated decades of cultural significance in the process. An eagle and Stars & Stripes graphic on a bandana isn't a novelty - it's a continuation of a tradition that goes back to the post-war custom scene and the riders who defined what American motorcycle culture looks like.

Washed cotton - the detail that matters: A bandana that hasn't been washed before sale can feel stiff and scratchy against the skin - particularly around the neck and face where bandanas are most often worn. The pre-washed cotton on the Stars & Stripes Eagle Bandana is soft from the first wear, without needing several washes to break in. The plain weave construction breathes well in warm weather, which matters for a piece of kit that's often worn close to the face on a summer ride.
Traditional 22" x 22" sizing: The 22" square is the standard bandana size - large enough to fold into a triangle and tie comfortably around the head or neck, large enough to use as a face covering with room to spare, and the right size to display the eagle graphic properly when worn or laid flat. Smaller bandanas compromise on coverage; larger ones become unwieldy. The traditional size is traditional for good reason.
Digital print graphic: The digital print process allows the eagle and Stars & Stripes design to be reproduced with the colour accuracy and detail that the graphic requires - the flag colours, the eagle feathering, and the overall composition are rendered clearly on the cotton surface. Digital printing on washed cotton produces a graphic that's part of the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, which means it moves and drapes naturally with the bandana.
How to wear it: Folded diagonally and tied at the back as a head wrap. Folded and tied around the neck as a sun and wind shield. Pulled up over the nose and mouth as a dust and face covering. Tied around the wrist. Folded into a breast pocket as a pocket square. The 22" square gives you enough fabric for all of these without being oversized.

Product availability is shown on all products. Where a product states 'Coming Soon - Dispatched in X Days', this is the expected lead time before stock is delivered to our store. The delivery method you choose will not affect this lead time and only relates to the delivery service we use once the product has been delivered to us.
Custom Charges
If you are ordering goods for delivery outside the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. It is accepted by you that Maidstone Harley-Davidson has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Maidstone Harley-Davidson recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you, the customer. Refunds of any returned order will be of the items only, not the services incurred.
Maidstone Harley-Davidson uses Royal Mail for smaller items and DHL for larger items (UK Shipping only)
Royal Mail deliveries are sent using the most appropriate service based on the value, size and weight of the parcel. If your item has not arrived within 5 working days on either service then please contact us by email shop@mshd.co.uk.
We also offer timed delivery services for faster delivery, which incur an additional charge over our standard delivery charges (£3.95 for orders below £60, free for orders over £60). All available delivery options are displayed during checkout.
Collect in-store:
Orders for in-store collection are FREE to collect, and are usually ready the same day, however there may occasionally be delays. A notification will be sent to you when your order is ready.
Please collect your items between 10am-5pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. NOTE: Our store is currently closed on Wednesdays & Sundays. Orders placed on these days will be available for collection on the following working day.
Returns & refunds:
Your right to cancel and return begins from when you place the order and ends 14 working days from when you received the goods. If you wish to cancel or return your order you must inform us by email at shop@mshd.co.uk within this time frame. The buyer is responsible for paying the return postage and ensuring the goods are received back by us in as new condition. If you receive a faulty or broken item, you will be offered either a choice of a refund or replacement. Any return postage costs if an item is faulty or broken will be paid by harleydavidsondirect.co.uk
